As Baptists, we believe that baptism is an important step in following Jesus. A public declaration of faith, showing that a person has chosen to trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
Because Baptists believe baptism follows a person decision to follow Jesus, we practice believer’s baptism. This means that people are baptised when they are able to make their own commitment of faith.
We baptise by full immersion in water, symbolising the death and resurrection of Jesus and the new life that He offers to all who trust Him.
Baptism does not make someone a Christian; rather, it is an outward expression of the inward transformation that God has already begun in their life. It is a joyful celebration of faith, obedience, and belonging to the family of God.
If you are interested in being baptised or would like to know more, we’d love to talk with you.
